Welcome to “Rough Cut!”  Originally started as an honors thesis project that focused on women’s roles in contemporary film, “Rough Cut” is a blog dedicated to embracing film criticism as a positive medium of reflecting on our society’s values.  This blog is open to communication from fellow readers, writers, and critics.  Rooted in classic film theories, this blog is meant to explore film as the echo our generation will leave behind for the future to reflect on.

Gina Gresko, the author, is a recent graduate from the University of Northern Colorado.  She has her Bachelor of Arts in English and journalism (news editorial) with a concentrations in film studies.  Gina currently is working in merchandising for Walt Disney World as an intern in the Disney College Program and is actively searching for writing jobs throughout the country.  You can check out some of her other pieces in her online portfolio or keeping following along!
